Takiyuddin offers RM20 to KB folk to vaccinate

KOTA BARU: Kota Baru Member of Parliament Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan is offering RM20 incentive to those in his constituency to get themselves vaccinated.

The Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Parliament and Law) said the offer, to start on May 30, would be given only to those who had fulfill three set conditions.

The first condition, he said recipients must be voters in the constituency. Secondly, they must produce a confirmation letter stating that they have received their jabs and lastly, they must bring along their MyKad.

Takiyuddin said claims can be made at the Kota Baru Parliment Service Centre.

Later on his Twitter post, Takiyuddin said he hoped Kelantan folk would listen to health experts' advice on the importance of taking the Covid-19 vaccine.

"Our fate and that of our families is in our hands.

"So, let's take the vaccine immediately and don't question too much. It's obviously a good thing," said Takiyuddin.

The minister was not the first leader from Kelantan asking everyone in the state to register for vaccination.

Prior to this, Ketereh MP Tan Sri Annuar Musa made a heartfelt plea for people in the state to participate in the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme.

He made the plea after reports stated that nearly 10,000 Kelantan folk missed their vaccination appointments.
