2020 SPM students can download results online starting 10am tomorrow

KUALA LUMPUR: For the first time in history, the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination results will be announced virtually for candidates from the 2020 cohort tomorrow.

Candidates are not allowed to go to school to collect their results and must instead obtain their results online after 10am tomorrow.

The Education Ministry said, students can check their results online at myresult1.moe.gov.my or myresult2.moe.gov.my and download a copy of their initial results.

Alternatively, students can check their results via short messaging system (SMS) by typing SPM 2020, followed by space and then their identity card number followed by space and their SPM examination number and send it to 68886.

Consequently, the candidates will receive a list of their overall grades (eg: 1A+ 2A 2A- 3B 1C) from the ministry.

The full results, with the Examination Syndicate's logo and a QR code, can be downloaded from myresult3.moe.gov.my, starting June 14.

Students and private candidates without Internet access have been identified by their respective class teachers, District Education Offices and State Education Departments to notify them about their results.

District Education Offices and state Education Departments can download the results today, while schools can obtain the results tomorrow, starting 7am.

Only school principals and their respective examination secretaries can be present at school to download and print the result slips, in accordance to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Schools can only hand over the result slips to students through appropriate means when the situation permits, while adhering to the SOP.

Candidates who wish to appeal their 2020 SPM results can do so online by paying RM100 per subject.

The ministry added that the Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) 2020 candidates will be notified one week ahead before the results are released.

After two rounds of postponement due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the SPM 2020 candidates finally sat for their exams this year, which comprised of 401,105 candidates in the first session (Feb 22-March 25) and 2,969 candidates in the second session (April 6-23).

SPM 2021 candidates, meanwhile, will sit for their oral and practical exams in February 2022, followed by their written exams in March.
