Country's security and public order under control - IGP

KUALA LUMPUR: Police today assured the people that the country's security and public order were under control.

Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani in a statement said, the public should not be worried as the police will ensure the level of security and also increase monitoring.

"The public is advised to comply with the standard operating procedures (SOP) issued by the National Security Council (NSC) to flatten the Covid-19 curve and reduce the number of cases," he said.

Yesterday, Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah expressed disappointment over a statement made in the special Parliament sitting that the government had revoked the six Emergency Ordinances introduced during the State of Emergency period.

This followed a statement made by Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan, who had earlier said that all the ordinances were revoked on July 21.
