KUALA LUMPUR: Twenty localities in Dungun, Terengganu will come under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) for two weeks beginning Tuesday.
Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, in a statement today, said nine localities are in the Kuala Dungun sub-district while the remaining 11 are in the Sura sub-district, both under Dungun.
The nine localities in Kuala Dungun are Kubang Miang, Teratai, Teluk Lipat, Alor Tembesu, Sura Utara, Batu 48, Sura Gate, Bukit Chatak and Tembesu Akar.
The 11 localities in Sura sub-district meanwhile are Batu 5, Sura Tengah, Alor Tempoyak, Taman Rakyat Jaya, Taman Delima Batu 6, Balai Besar, Sura Melati, Batu 7, Paya Balai Besar, Pak Sabah and Sura Lapangan Terbang
Also in Terengganu, the Anak Ikan low-cost public housing scheme in the Jabi sub-district, Besut will also be placed under EMCO.
As for Sabah, the Ladang Hibumas 2 housing area in Beluran and Kampung Tagibang in Kota Marudu, will also be under the EMCO.
"These areas will be placed under EMCO from Aug 3 to Aug 16 after the Health Ministry presented the risk assessment and Covid-19 infection trend in these localities," he said.
Meanwhile, the EMCO at two localities in Kelantan and four areas in Sabah will be extended for another two weeks until August 16.
The two localities in Kelantan are Kampung Lepah and Kampung Alor Hijau in Pasir Puteh.
The four areas in Sabah, meanwhile, are Ladang Agathis in Kalabakan, Kampung Nosoob in Penampang, Kampung Gusung in Likas, and Kampung Bakalau in Beaufort.
The EMCO 27 localities in Perak, Sabah and Pahang will end as scheduled tomorrow.
In Perak, 10 of the localities are in the Batang Padang sub-district. They are Taman Tapah / Taman Bunga Raya / Kampung Datuk, Taman Sri Tapah, Kampung Baru Kampung Pahang, Kampung Tanah Mas, Taman Sri Damai 1 and Taman Sri Damai 2, Taman Sri Asoka, Kampung Batu 5 Tapah Road, Kampung Batu Melintang, Taman Tapah 2, and Kampung Baru Pekan Getah.
Three more are in the Bidor sub-district (Taman Awam 3 Bidor/ Taman Permata Bidor, Taman Sri Bidor, Taman Bidor Jaya/Kg, and Cegar Tambahan/Kg Cegar), two in the Batu Kurau sub-district (Kampung Batu 19 1⁄2, and Kampung Batu 20), and finally, Taman Melor Fasa 1 in Hilir Perak.
The EMCO at the Ruai Orang Asli village in Batu Talam, Raub, Pahang will also end tomorrow, earlier than the August 5 scheduled date.
10 localities in Sabah are also in the list where the EMCO will end tomorrow.
These are Kampung Serudung Baru in Tawau, three in the Likas sub-district (Taman Teluk Likas, Taman Kurnia Jaya, and Permai Kaya factory quarters), four in Sipitang (Kampung Long Kiangan, Kampung Ranau-Ranau, Kampung Solob and Kampung Tunas Baru), Kampung Muhibbah in Beaufort, and Kampung Dandulit Matunggong in Kudat.
