Clips of packed queues at PPV goes viral

KUALA LUMPUR: Three video clips showing long queues of people believed to be foreign workers who do not observe the standard operating procedures (SOP) for physical distancing at a vaccination centre (PPV) here, have gone viral on social media.

The clips, uploaded by an unknown social media user, showed people in the queues mostly standing in packed lines with clear physical contacts between them.

An unidentified man appeared trying to remind those queuing to stand apart, while at the same time expressing his disappointment with the authorities for failing to control the situation and in ensuring SOP compliance.

"Tolonglah (please). Do something about it. Why can't people in power use their authority (to prevent it) at a time like this?

"Many people have died (from Covid-19). Among the victims are parents of children. Please act and exert your authority accordingly," the man said.

Berita Harian is attempting to get comments from Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Azmi Kassim as well as Dang Wangi district police chief Assistant Commissioner Noor Delhan Yahya over the matter.
