Parents must accompany children at PPVs, says Dr Zaini

KOTA BARU: Parents of teenagers, aged 16 and 17, have been urged to accompany their children to the vaccination centres (PPV) to get vaccinated.

State Health director Datuk Dr Zaini Hussin said parents must also give their consent to the health officers before their children can receive the vaccine doses.

"For these teenagers (aged 16 and 17), they can either bring their father or mother to the PPVs.

"They also must bring their identity card and handphone used to register MySejahtera.

"If possible, please bring along a pen to fill up the form while at the PPVs," he said.

Beginning today, Dr Zaini said all public vaccination centres as well as integrated PPVs in the state were opened for walk-ins.

"The walk-in exercise is also opened for both students in Kota Baru as well as those outside Kelantan," he added.

However, Dr Zaini said students from Kota Baru must follow the appointment dates set by the school authorities.

"Similar requirements must also be followed by students studying in Kota Baru but living outside the district," he added.
