Petronas donates 250 units of oximeter to Kelantan health department

KOTA BARU:The state government today received 250 units of fingertip pulse oximeter worth more than RM19,000 from Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas).

A simple ceremony to hand over the donation was held at the Darulnaim Complex here this evening.

Petronas East Coast general manager Che Ahmad Tarmizi presented the contributions to state health director Datuk Dr Zaini Hussin. Witnessing the ceremony was State Local Government, Health and Housing Committee chairman Dr Izani Husin.

Speaking to reporters later, Dr Izani thanked Petronas for the donation.

"On behalf of the state health department, I would like to express our gratitude for the donation.

"This device is very useful and can be used widely. It will be distributed by the health department soon," he said.

Che Ahmad said the donation was aimed at helping the state health authorities during the Covid-19 pandemic.

"We hope the fingertip pulse oximeter will benefit health workers," he added.
