Some 50 protesters gather at #TangkapAzamBaki rally [NSTTV]

KUALA LUMPUR: The #TangkapAzamBaki rally kicked off as scheduled at the Bangsar LRT station at about 11am today.

Some 50 protesters, clad in black outfits, were seen holding placards with the words 'Lawan Koruptor' and 'Rasuah Meracuni Negara' written across it.

The rally organisers were seen reminding the crowd to maintain their social distancing while ensuring strict adherence to other standard operating procedure (SOP) at all times.

The crowd chanted 'Hidup Rakyat!' as they gathered in a bid to call for the arrest of Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki.

Scores of policemen and newsmen were already in the area since early this morning.

The rally was initially supposed to take place in Dataran Merdeka but the location changed to the Bangsar LRT station following several road closures announced by the police yesterday.
