MySejahtera 'check-in' feature to stay even after April 1

KUALA LUMPUR: The MySejahtera check-in feature will remain even as the nation transitions into the endemicity phase from April 1 onwards.

Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said the government has no plans to do away with the feature, which registers and manages the entry of visitors at various places from business premises, offices as well as public transport.

"We will continue. When we feel there is no need for it, we will make an announcement," he said today.

Khairy said this after launching a book titled "Systems Thinking Analyses for Health Systems Policy and Systems Development: A Malaysian Case Study" at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

Separately, Khairy said employers are free to decide if they want their entire workforce to return to offices or otherwise from April 1.

While there will be no more workplace capacity restrictions from then on, it will be up to employers to come up with guidelines, he said.

He said this was in light of employers who have embarked on the work from home (WFH) concept permanently amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

There were also those that encouraged WFH for a period of time when their staff came down with the virus.

"The transition to the endemic phase means that we return the responsibility to decide to employers and individuals," he added.
