KUALA LUMPUR: Former Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim died at the Cardiac Vascular Sentral Hospital, here, at 11.08pm tonight.
The administrator of his official Facebook page said Abdul Khalid's remains would be brought to the Saidina Umar Al Khattab mosque in Bukit Damansara for the final funeral rites.
His remains would then be brought to the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque in Shah Alam for the public to pay their last respects.
"At the behest and grace of the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, Abdul Khalid will be laid to rest at the Shah Alam Royal Mausoleum."
Abdul Khalid had been hospitalised since April 23. He leaves behind a wife, four children and two grandchildren.
He was Selangor Menteri Besar from 2008 to 2014.
