PONTIAN: A team from the Pontian Fire and Rescue Department here was called to the remove a traffic cone that got stuck on a boy's head.
The department was alerted of the incident, at SK Api-api, here, at 1.30pm.
The team, led by operation commander Mohd Ezal Azman, was dispatched to the scene.
"We spent 20 minutes to free the 10-year-old victim by cutting the cone using the SOS Rescue Tool," said Ezal.
He said the incident happened when the victim was playing with his friends.
"While playing, the victim decided to put his head inside the cone, but he did it with too much force that he could not pull the cone off."
He said the firemen left the scene after ensuring that victim was safe.
