ALOR STAR: A 4-year-old girl from Felda Lubuk Merbau, Padang Terap, has probably learnt her lesson that washing machines are not toys.
The girl became trapped in a washing machine for almost an hour and had to be rescued by firemen.
Kuala Nerang fire station chief Mohd Aminuddin Mad Khozali said rescuers rushed to the girl's house located in Jalan Felda Lubuk Merbau upon receiving a distress call at 3.53pm.
"The girl was stuck in the manual washing machine's spin dryer compartment. The team had to use a specialised tool to rescue her.
"The operation ended at 4.43pm... the girl did not suffer any injury," he said in a statement.
