Netizens rap Prasarana after slight Kelana Jaya LRT line hiccup on first day of operations after suspension

KUALA LUMPUR: Netizens expressed their disappointment after the Kelana Jaya Light Rail Transit (LRT) line experienced a little hiccup on its first day of operations following a five-day suspension.

Rail operator Prasarana said the line had begun operations at 6am.

"There was a temporary disruption to the non-security critical system at 12.43pm, affecting several stations in the vicinity of the Damai Station, but it was restored within 15 minutes."

Twitter user @renmalaysia said: "Prasarana, RapidKL LRT Kelana Jaya still has operational problems. (I have) waited at (the) Ampang Park Station to go to Masjid Jamek. LED signage keeps giving additional waiting time. No public announcements so (I) gave up and took the bus instead. FAIL!!!"

Another user, @Irfndnl1 said: "Kelana Jaya Line is making problems again, haih."

Meanwhile, user @melursam said: "Why is the train stopping so long at Wangsa Maju? You give me a heart attack."

Prasarana said operations stabilised at 4pm.

"RapidRail technical experts will keep a close watch on the Kelana Jaya Line system to ensure that operations and the system remain stable and safe for users."
