KOTA KINABALU: At least eight houses in Kampung Lobong off Gaya Island here were badly damaged when a storm and strong winds hit this afternoon.
In the 3.30pm incident, several facilities including a bridge in the village were also reported to have collapsed.
Several buildings at SMK Pulau Gaya had their roofs blown off.
Also affected was the Pulau Gaya police station.
However, no casualties were reported.
