PUTRAJAYA: Nurul Izzah Anwar will be able to work better in the Advisory Committee to the Finance Minister, said Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli.
Following her appointment to jointly head the secretariat, Rafizi said that the team of experts and economists could provide their input and expertise on related matters.
"We hope that the opinions and inputs from them will hasten the initiatives that need to be done by the government.
"I see that there is also an added value of Nurul Izzah being in the secretariat," he said.
Previously, Nurul Izzah revealed that she had accepted an invitation by the Advisory Committee chairman Tan Sri Hassan Marican to co-head the secretariat.
The committee's primary roles are, among others, to advise the Finance Minister on ways and means to increase the nation's revenue base and reduce the operating expenditure.
