PEKAN: A 10-year-old boy is feared to have drowned after going missing in Sungai Pasir, Kampung Seri Makmur in Chini, Pekan near here yesterday.
The victim, Muhammad Hafizhan Abd Zaib, was last seen at 2.50pm, according to a statement by Pekan Fire and Rescue Station chief Wan Samsul Effendi Wan Mahmud.
A search and rescue operation was launched by the Water Rescue Team from the Pekan Fire and Rescue Station, covering an area within 200 meters of where the victim was last seen.
The operation was suspended at 11pm yesterday and resumed this morning. — BERNAMA
