Air quality readings: Bukit Rambai has highest API at 155

KUALA LUMPUR: Bukit Rambai in Melaka continues to record unhealthy air pollution index (API) levels as of 4pm today (Oct 11).

An update on the Malaysian Air Pollution Index Management System (APIMS) website revealed that Bukit Rambai recorded the highest readings of unhealthy API today at 155.

Meanwhile, Batu Pahat and Larkin in Johor have dropped to a moderate level at 9am and 12pm respectively.

APIMS measures the API readings between 0 and 50 as good, 51 and 100 as moderate, 101 to 200 as unhealthy, 201 to 300 as very unhealthy, and any readings of 300 and above as hazardous.

API readings at Bukit Rambai have stayed at unhealthy levels exceeding 150 for more than 72 hours, since 8pm on Oct 7.

53 monitoring stations across the country recorded moderate API levels, and 14 areas recorded good API readings.
