Grim repeat: Gua Musang faces another tiger attack, claiming the life of Indonesian worker

GUA MUSANG: Another man was mauled to death by a tiger at Kampung Meranto here today, the second incident in the district in two months.

Gua Musang district police chief Superintendent Sik Choon Foo said the latest incident involved an Indonesian worker.

He said the victim's body was found by his friend Friday morning.

"His friend realised he went missing after he failed to return home yesterday. His friends started looking for him inside the forest reserve.

"They first discovered several body parts about 300m from where they found the legs.

"They then informed the police," he said.

He added the body was then sent to the Gua Musang Hospital for a post-mortem.

The incident was the second reported in the district since October.

Last month, a 25-year-old Orang Asli man was mauled to death by a tiger in Pos Pasik.

Pisie Amud was reported missing on Oct 4 when he did not return home after going to a nearby village a day before.

His remains were found by villagers with injuries all over his head and body on Oct 5.
