GUA MUSANG: A 26-year-old farmer from Gua Musang narrowly escaped a dangerous encounter when his motorcycle collided with a tiger while traveling along Jalan Gua Musang-Jeli last night.

Recalling the incident, Zulhilmi said he was heading to Sungai Terah to play badminton with his friends when the incident happened about 9.30pm.

"I just arrived at a hill at Jalan Gua Musang-Jeli and have to be more careful when riding the bike as its surroundings are really dark.

"Suddenly, l saw a tiger coming from the right side of the road and was knocked by the bike's front wheel.

"I saw the tiger which is about 1 metre high running towards the jungle. The impact caused me to fall off my bike and suffer injuries," he said when contacted.

Afraid of being attacked by the tiger, Zullhilmi said he then woke up and run for safety.

"Having the pains on my leg and face, l ran about 100 meters away and luckily, l met a motorist who helped send me to the hospital to get treatment," he added.

Zulhilmi said he was grateful to God that he did not become the victim of the tiger.

"I have yet to lodge a police report as l still could not move properly due to the injuries on my leg.

"This was a horror experience for me and from now on, l will go out only for urgent matters," he added.
