Sahajidah Hai-O Marketing gives back: Donates RM100,000 for humanitarian efforts in Palestine

KUALA LUMPUR: Sahajidah Hai-O Marketing (SHOM) has donated RM100,000 to Tabung Kemanusiaan Palestin Media Prima to support humanitarian efforts in Palestine.

SHOM, in a statement, said the donation not only echoes current needs but also echoes the late founder Tan Kai Hee's past philanthropic endeavours, including a contribution of RM113,000 to the 'Tabung Dana untuk Gaza' in 2009.

It said the Tan Family executed the gesture of goodwill through the Tan Kai Hee Foundation.

"The late Tan Kai Hee actively supported various charitable causes, from flood relief to cultural and educational initiatives that enrich society, furthering the commitment to impactful philanthropy.

"Today, his son Tan Keng Kang continues this legacy of philanthropy, magnifying his father's enduring vision of compassion by directing this year's contribution towards urgent relief and the advocacy for peace in a region in need," it said.

Meanwhile, SHOM, one of the leading local multi-level direct-selling companies, is celebrating its 31st Anniversary by blending corporate success with a deep commitment to social responsibility.

Highlighting the importance of education and youth, the event included a session for the Anugerah Kecemerlangan Akademik Sahajidah Hai-O Marketing (AKAS), an academic programme that pays tribute to the children of SHOM entrepreneurs.

"This year, an impressive number of 51 students are set to receive the AKAS awards, having achieved exemplary results in the 2022 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia examination.

"This session was a heartfelt acknowledgement of the next generation's potential and the robust support they receive from the SHOM community."

It said the celebration also acts as a recognition of the exceptional achievement of its leaders and achievers, with 72 members receiving accolades across various tiers of recognition.

"This number includes those inducted into the prestigious Million Dollar Achiever Board, achievers who reached 500k and 200k milestones, and the celebrated rise of new Crown Diamond Managers (CDM)."
