Agus lodges report against Raja Petra over leaked police report

KAJANG: Former Community Communication Department (J-KOM) director-general Datuk Dr Mohammad Agus Yusoff lodges a report against Blogger Raja Petra Kamaruddin for allegedly leaking an official police document.

One of his lawyers, Faizal Rahman when met outside Kajang police headquarters said his client filed a second report today after his first one was leaked and published by the blogger.

"How did the entire police report he (Agus) made over the viral video was leaked. We believe there has been a misconduct and a breach of the investigation process.

"This investigation is being carried our by the Classified Crime Investigations Unit (D5), thus all information pertaining to the case should also be kept confidential.

"It is clear that there has been a breach of SOP on the police side which resulted in the report being leaking online," he said, pointing out that no one on Agus' side had leaked the report.

Faizal said police must take responsibility for his client's personal data breach.

Meanwhile, Agus said: "I am unhappy and concern that my personal and family's safety may be at risk, as a result of the leaked police report,"

On the viral video, he said: "I have given my full cooperation and answered all the necessary questions during the recording of the statement."

When asked when would J-KOM officer Abdul Wahab Abdul Kadir lodge a police report on the case, Agus said he has no knowledge on the matter.

Faizal, who will be representing Wahab in the case, said he too could not provide details of the matter.

"Due to several reasons, including safety, he has not made his report. I have no details on when he will be making his report but most likely, whenever he feels safe to do so."

Faizal said police planned to call up Wahad soon to record his statement.

A video call recording between Agus and Wahab being overly friendly went viral recently, just hours after the J-KOM chief confirmed his resignation.

In a press conference, both of them claimed that the audio had been doctored.

Wahab claimed he took instructions from a Mr H, who made him an 'offer' of government position in exchange for the video.

He said the original video call he recorded was muted, but the one which went viral has sound, allegedly edited to put Agus in a bad light.
