ISKANDAR PUTERI: Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi announced a two-month bonus for state government employees and federal civil servants whose salaries are paid by the Johor state government.
He made the announcement before finalising the 2024 Johor Budget, which was tabled at Bangunan Sultan Ismail, in Kota Iskandar, today.
"As mentioned earlier in my speech, the state government's performance has achieved its targets.
"Therefore, in addition to aiding the people, as a token of appreciation for Johor civil servants, we have taken an approach to provide incentives based on actual performance.
"As a gesture of appreciation and gratitude, I am delighted to announce the provision of a special financial assistance for 2023 amounting to two months' salary to the employees of the state government and federal civil servants whose salaries are paid by the state government.
"May this assistance serve as a catalyst for inspiration and motivation, encouraging civil servants to continue serving with excellence and dedication, always striving to give their best to the people of Johor," he said.
