PUTRAJAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi today praised and thanked media giant Media Prima Bhd (Media Prima) for its ongoing humanitarian efforts and attempts to assist Palestinians.
The Deputy Prime Minister said Media Prima's efforts showed the country's will to assist Palestinians afflicted by Israel's 60-day-long assault on the Gaza Strip.
Malaysia, said Zahid, would continue with its efforts and humanitarian aid for the Palestinians.
"Thank you to Media Prima for the continuous and ongoing efforts to help the Palestinians.
"We hope the people in the country will continue to do their part (contributing to humanitarian aid for the people of Palestine).
"The assault (by the Israeli forces) is now focused on the southern part of Gaza, which is cruel and painful.
"We should continue to do all that is necessary by helping the people of Palestine," he told reporters here today.
