Me'nate Steak Hub Restaurant donates RM300,000 to the Media Prima Palestinian Humanitarian Fund

KUALA LUMPUR: Me'nate Steak Hub Restaurant collected RM300,000 to be donated to the Media Prima Palestinian Humanitarian Fund through its Dine and Donate campaign which was organised from Nov 6 to Nov 20 this year.

Palace Butcher Resources Sdn Bhd managing director Syed Ashraf Syed Ali said it was the first time the restaurant organised a charity campaign and achieved the target in a short period of time due to strong support from its customers.

He said they could not have achieved the feat if the best service was not provided to customers who enjoyed dining there.

"During the campaign period, up to 10 per cent of the customer's expenses was donated to the fund and Alhamdulillah the target was successfully achieved in a short period of time.

"In my view, Me'nate customers are very aware of what is happening in Palestine and I believe this is also their chance to help our brothers and sisters there," he said, adding that the restaurant chain would carry out more humanitarian campaigns in the future.

The collection was handed over to the Media Prima Palestinian Humanitarian Fund and the Pertubuhan Kebajikan Rakyat Sejagat Malaysia (Sejagat).

Syed Ashraf said that the collaboration between these two organisations conveyed a sign of solidarity towards the struggle of the Palestinian people.

"Me'nate will remain sensitive to issues like this in ensuring that our business network is closer to the community.

"Although customer satisfaction is our priority, through these issues we also want to take the opportunity to educate the public about the importance of this humanitarian campaign," he said.
