KUALA LUMPUR: No discounts are being offered for summons issued by the Road Transport Department (RTD) at the Madani government's One-Year Anniversary Celebration held in National Stadium Bukit Jalil.
In a statement issued today, the Madani government programme secretariat reiterated that services provided are only subjected to the renewal of licences, retrieval of commercial driver's licences and motor vehicle licence documents that were renewed through online RTD's mySikap portal, as well as payment of summons, aside from blacklisted cases.
"Following this, we request that related parties not share inaccurate information on the summons discount.
"Further information can be obtained on the official Malaysia Madani website and social media platforms," the secretariat said.
At the same time, it added that police, however, offered up to 50 per cent discounts for summons, except for accident-related summons, cases with court warrants or pending court proceedings.
"The discount is also not applicable for non-compoundable offences, such as driving without a licence, reckless driving, an expired licence and not having insurance coverage.
"At the same time, summons payment can only be done from Dec 8 until 10 at the programme site and details of discounts can be obtained on the police's official website."
The Madani government's one-year anniversary celebrations are taking place for three days that started yesterday (Dec 8).
