KUALA LUMPUR: Fifteen lucky users of the North-South Expressway will be able to win shopping vouchers worth up to RM1,000 each in the My Travel Time Advisory (My-TTA) Christmas Campaign.
The campaign, organised by Plus Malaysia Berhad (Plus), encourages users to register and comply with My-TTA within the Plus application throughout the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays.
Plus chief executive officer Datuk Nik Airina Nik Jaffar underscored the significance of holiday travel planning.
She urged users to select suitable travel times and register through My-TTA to ensure smoother and more enjoyable journeys.
Furthermore, she said Plus encouraged users to make optimal use of the My-TTA feature for a stress-free and delightful travel experience on the North-South Expressway.
"Users planning to use the North-South Expressway between Dec 22 and Jan 1, next year. during the Christmas and New Year holidays are advised to plan their journey by selecting and registering for suitable travel times to enter the highway.
"Those who have registered their travel preferences through My-TTA will have access to real-time traffic information directly on their mobile phones and receive notifications based on the selected destination and travel date," she said in a statement today.
In addition to the shopping vouchers, 100 users will have a chance to win RM50 Plus Miles reward points, redeemable at selected Plus rest and service areas.
The My-TTA Christmas Campaign aims to enhance the user experience by providing a digital approach to travel planning, thereby reducing congestion and improving overall travel comfort.
Nik Airina highlighted the success of the My-TTA pilot programme during the recent Deepavali holidays, with a compliance rate of up to 30 per cent.
"Therefore, we strongly encourage highway users to use it this Christmas to facilitate Plus in strengthening and reinforcing this initiative for implementation in upcoming festive seasons."
She noted that increased usage and data would enhance the application for future implementations.
"Like other Artificial Intelligence-based applications, with more usage and data, it will become more 'intelligent' for subsequent use," she said.
The My-TTA feature in the Plus application allows users to select travel times based on entry and exit at toll plazas, helping them understand the impact of travel periods and facilitating a smoother flow of traffic.
The application, available for download on Android and iPhone devices, also offers features such as CCTV traffic displays, an SOS button for emergencies, a toll calculator, and interaction with the Putri Chatbot for various information about PLUS.
To participate in the My-TTA Christmas Campaign, users can download the PLUS application for free from the Google Play Store (Android), App Store (iPhone), or Huawei AppGallery (Huawei).
