Public generosity made funeral of Nurhaslinda in South Korea possible

KUALA LUMPUR: Brother of Nurhaslinda Abdullah, 30, expressed gratitude after the public's generous contributions made the funeral expenses for his sister, who passed away in South Korea last Monday, sufficient.

Abdul Hafiz Abdullah, 35, said " Alhamdulillah, the donations for my sister's funeral expenses are now sufficient due to the contributions after Harian Metro's news coverage."

Hafiz said that he and his family wish to express immeasurable gratitude to all the contributors who have helped alleviate their family's burden in managing the arrangements for his late sister.

"Only Allah SWT can repay the kindness of all the contributors.

"We also thank Harian Metro for publishing this news... previously, we only managed to collect RM13,000, but after the news was published, many extended their donations, reaching up to RM38,000," he said.

He also appealed to the public to stop donating further as the funds required for his sister's funeral arrangements have already surpassed the necessary amount.Earlier, Harian Metro reported the passing of Nurhaslinda in South Korea last Monday.

Nurhaslinda travelled to South Korea in September to work at a factory there before experiencing breathing difficulties and passing away.
