Flood update: No dangerous readings in Terengganu, six rivers above alert level

KUALA TERENGGANU: No rivers in Terengganu recorded dangerous levels this morning.

As of 9am, six rivers were recorded above the alert level, while seven other rivers were above the warning level.

According to the official website of Public InfoBanjir by the Department of Irrigation and Drainage, the five rivers exceeding the alert level are in Setiu (two), Hulu Terengganu (two), Dungun (one), Kemaman (one).

In Setiu, it involves Sungai Nerus in Kampung Langkap and Sungai Nerus in Kampung Bukit, each recording readings of 20.84m and 12.10m, respectively.

Also exceeding the alert level are Sungai Peneh in Felda Mengkawang (37.25 m) and Sungai Tersat in Kampung Sekayu (20.22 m) in Hulu Terengganu.

Additionally, Sungai Dungun at Jambatan Jerangau, Dungun (12.23 m) and Sungai Kemaman at Rumah Pam Paya Paman, Kemaman (3.86 m) have exceeded the alert level.

Meanwhile, seven rivers above the warning level are two in Setiu, and one each in Besut, Kuala Nerus, Kuala Terengganu, Dungun, and Kemaman.
