Privacy plea: Family of found brothers appeals to preserve dignity

HULU SELANGOR: The family of two brothers reported missing from the Taman Bernam Jaya residential mosque in Hulu Bernam on Jan 1 hurriedly left their residence today.

Their actions left journalists bewildered, especially as many of them were waiting to get reactions regarding the discovery of the two teenagers, aged 16 and 17.

The brothers' 39-year-old mother later appeared to meet with the media practitioners outside her home.

"Alhamdulillah. Thank God, Along and Angah have been found safe. I am asking for your help for my and my family's safety because we are in the dark about everything.

"God willing, we will meet again later. I have to go now. I apologise very much because I have some business to attend to at the nearest district police headquarters," she said.

The boys' mother also appealed to reporters and the public to preserve her sons' dignity and not disclose her car's registration number.

"Please help me avoid exposing my sons' faces. Our safety is very important, including our car. Please help.

"I understand you understand what happened. Thank you for all the prayers and all the help that has been given (emotionally). Once again, I apologise," she said.

On Jan 11, it was reported that a teenage boy was found in a weak state at the Pasar Seni LRT Station in Kuala Lumpur.

He said the victim claimed to have been molested and subjected to inappropriate conduct by an individual at a hotel in Jalan Petaling, Kuala Lumpur.

Today, the Hulu Selangor district police chief Superintendent Ahmad Faizal Tahrim said the younger teenage brother, aged 16, was also found safe.
