ALOR STAR: Two people suffered head injuries when the motorcycle they were on collided with an uprooted tree in Kampung Derang, Pokok Sena, today.
Pokok Sena fire station chief Bakar Saad said the Kedah Fire and Rescue Department received a distress call via MERS999 reporting victims trapped beneath the fallen tree.
Following the call, the Pokok Sena station despatched six firemen to the scene.
"Upon arrival, the rescue team found a man and a woman in their 30s trapped under to the fallen tree. The operation to extract the victims was carried out using rescue equipment.
"The victims were successfully stabilised and subsequently transported to the hospital by ambulance," he said.
