Police keeping an eye on porn sales through social media, call on public to report sellers

KUALA LUMPUR: The police are constantly monitoring activities related to the sale of pornographic videos on social media platforms.

This was revealed by the Anti-Vice, Gambling and Secret Societies Division (D7) of Bukit Aman's Criminal Investigation Department assistant director Assistant Commissioner of Police Mohamad Farouk Eshak.

He said the police hoped that the public, who have information and knowledge about these activities, would come forward to assist the police.

"The theme 'No Separation Between Police and Society' is highly relevant in conveying information to us to enable us to monitor and take effective actions.

"We need more people to share information because with that information, continuous monitoring and effective actions can be taken."

He said the case of a man recently arrested in Janda Baik, Pahang, for selling pornographic videos was a result of information received from the public.
