KUALA LUMPUR: Utusan Malaysia has retracted its report and issued an apology over an article claiming that former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak had been granted a royal pardon.
The Malay daily news portal had reported that the Pardons Board, yesterday, decided to pardon Najib, quoting sources.
"Utusan Malaysia retracts the news regarding the pardon of Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak due to unverified facts.
"We extend our sincere apologies to our readers," the article read.
