KUALA LUMPUR: Perikatan Nasional (PN) has dismissed claims that the Yang di-Pertuan Agong has agreed to grant an audience to 118 opposition members of parliament (MPs) as false.
This comes in response to a statement– allegedly issued by PN secretary-general and opposition leader Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin– that went viral yesterday (Jan 6).
The office of the opposition leader confirmed that the circulated media statement is false.
The statement also alleged that PN is confident that a new government would be formed following their meeting with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong with their respective statutory declarations.
