Pas leaders condemn attack on Ngeh Koh Ham's residence

KOTA BARU: Several Pas leaders have condemned the attack on the residence of Beruas member of parliament Datuk Ngeh Koo Ham of DAP, which was believed to have taken place early this morning.

Pas vice-president Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said all quarters should leave it to the authorities to conduct an investigation in accordance with the law.

"All parties are advised against engaging in speculation that might disrupt investigation by the authorities" said the Kubang Kerian MP, in a posting on his Facebook account today.

Pas information chief and Pasir Mas MP Ahmad Fadhli Shaari has described the incident as an unacceptable act.

"Regardless of political differences, the act of burning and destroying a person's property, especially when it could put lives at risk, is unacceptable," he said in a statement.

It was reported that the house and three vehicles belonging to Ngeh caught fire, believed to be the result of a Molotov cocktail, early this morning.

Ngeh in a Facebook post said the fire was successfully contained, with no casualties reported.
