KUALA TERENGGANU: Independent preacher, Ustaz Azhar Idrus (UAI), denies selling 'kain pelikat' (sarongs) as circulated on TikTok.
Azhar clarified this matter in one of his lectures to address the issue.
In a 1 minute 17-second video, Azhar stated that it was merely a scammer attempting to boost sales and advised the public not to be deceived.
"Listen… if on TikTok, you see a picture of me selling kain pelikat or anything else, it's just a joke (fraud).
"I don't sell any goods... It's all just pure scams, so don't believe in such things.
"It's evil (also), if you (someone) sell something and put someone else's name on it, deceive (people) like that, you'll gain wealth without blessings, your meals won't be blessed.
"[...] in seeking wealth, don't be deceitful," he said.
Earlier, a 25-second video went viral stating that UAI was promoting his batik sarongs for one cent.
