This initiative was a collaborative effort between the Youth Movement of the Sabah People's Vision Party (Gagasan Rakyat) and the Active Revolutionary Youth Club Kituau (KREATIF).
The handover ceremony was presided over by Gagasan Rakyat Youth Movement leader Emmie Datuk Martin Idang. She said that the donation was intended to alleviate the financial strain on parents caused by the rising costs of school necessities.
"Penampang PPD is the first location we are assisting, and we plan to extend our support to other districts, identifying students in need in collaboration with the respective PPDs," Emmie said.
Penampang PPD officer Ag Mohd Kadir Ag Kanak, expressed gratitude for the contribution, noting its significance in supporting the educational needs of the students.
"We are immensely thankful for this contribution, which will undoubtedly aid our students in need. We also hope that such collaborative efforts will continue in the future to further alleviate the expenses related to schooling, including clothing purchases and transport costs," he said.
