Ministry of Health shares tips to stay healthy during Raya heatwave

KUALA LUMPUR: The MInistry of Health (MoH) today emphasised the importance of staying hydrated during the Hari Raya celebrations, amid the hot and humid weather.

Acknowledging the challenges of the heatwave, the ministry advised the public to double their intake of plain water and avoid caffeinated drinks and hot beverages, which can lead to dehydration.

MoH also recommends opting for loose, brightly colored clothing to stay cool and shielded from the sun's rays.

Taking regular baths is also encouraged to keep the body cool and refreshed throughout the day.

MoH advised the public to pay particular attention to children's health, and ensure they drink water regularly and are shielded from the sun's heat.

MoH also emphasised the significance of prioritising health, especially during special occasions like Hari Raya, and urges individuals to seek medical assistance if feeling unwell.

The ministry shared the tips on its MyHealth portal and its social media.
