Selangor police chief: KLIA to use electric scooters for faster response following shooting incident

KUALA LUMPUR: Electric scooters will be used at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminals 1 and 2 to ensure faster police response and wider patrols, said Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan.

This following yesterday's shooting incident at the KLIA Terminal 1 arrival hall that resulted in a man being seriously wounded who remains unconscious after being medically induced into a coma.

The incident, while shocking, is not the first to occur at KLIA.

It has prompted calls for tighter security measures to be enforced.
