KUCHING: Sarawak is set to enhance its position as a premier business events destination at the upcoming IMEX Frankfurt in Germany from May 14 to 16, the Sarawak Public Communications Unit reported.
Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts Minister Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah said the Sarawak Pavilion will spotlight the state's diverse offerings at the event, including culture, adventure, nature, food and festivals.
During the IMEX Frankfurt 2024 press conference held at Baitulmakmur II, he also outlined the pavilion's theme, 'Business Events Support Community Development'.
He emphasised the importance of this year's IMEX focus on 'Impact', which aligns with Sarawak's goal of fostering social and economic change through business events.
Abdul Karim revealed that Sarawak Pavilion will host seven co-exhibitors: Borneo Adventure, Borneo Convention Centre Kuching, Cat City Holidays, Hemisphere Hospitality, Place Borneo, Pullman Miri Waterfront Hotel, and Pullman Kuching Hotel.
He also highlighted partnerships with local micro, small, and medium enterprises and non-governmental organisations to promote local products and encourage global investment.
