Govt to discuss DNB issues tomorrow, says Anwar

SHAH ALAM: The government will hold a meeting tomorrow to discuss issues surrounding Digital Nasional Bhd, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said today.

"(Any issues related to) DNB will be decided next week. I will chair a meeting on it," he said after PKR's 25th-anniversary celebrations here.

DNB yesterday refuted claims that the national 5G roll-out had hit a snag.

It denies these allegations and rejected the insinuation of any impropriety in its governance and procurement practices.

"DNB's tender and procurement processes are structured according to the strictest governance standards and best practices," it said in a statement.

A CNA report said yesterday the deal between telecommunication companies and DNB, the state-owned operator, had broken down.

DNB said the CNA report alleged that it had not been transparent in internal operations, in particular the awarding of contracts to third-party vendors.

The report referred to the contract given to Ericsson to develop the 5G infrastructure
