SME Corp contributes RM10,000 to Media Prima Palestinian Humanitarian Fund

KUALA LUMPUR: SME Corporation Malaysia (SME Corp) today contributed RM10,000 to the Media Prima Palestinian Humanitarian Fund.

SME Corp chief executive officer Rizal Nainy said today's donation is a sign of its support and solidarity with the Palestinians, which is aligned with the Malaysia Madani spirit to advocate global peace.

"The MPB's fund is one of those funds that we are confident about contributions reaching the Palestinians who are in need," he said.

"This marks the SME Corp's first donation to the Media Prima Palestinian Humanitarian Fund, and we express hope for future opportunities to contribute again alongside other organisations.

"We also hope that this continue to foster collaborations with Media Prima especially in expanding micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs)," he said.

Present to receive the cheque was Media Prima Bhd (MPB) chairman group Datuk Seri Dr Syed Hussian Aljunid as the media conglomerate's representative.

Rizal also said SME Corp handed over 'wakalah' contributions to two Tahfiz centres: Maahad Tahfiz Al-Quran Misbahul Falah and Maahad Tahfiz Darul Muhibbin from Taman Keramat in Kuala Lumpur.

The donation ceremony occurred during the 'Majlis Ramah Mesra' with strategic partners held in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri at Platinum Sentral in Kuala Lumpur.

Also present was the Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick.

MPB has maintained its steadfast dedication to actively supporting individuals and victims affected by the tragic events in Palestine.
