KOTA BARU: The Kelantan state government today assures that it will continue the positive relationship fostered by the late Tan Sri Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat with the Federal government.
Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud said the relationship between Kelantan and the Federal government at that time was based on federalism.
"I will continue the relationship established during Tok Guru's time (the late Nik Abdul Aziz) when he was the Menteri Besar.
"For me, now is not the right time to think about politics. Our priority is the people's wellbeing and their welfare.
"In my meeting with the Prime Minister today, l told him that from now on, I will only talk about politics during election time, which is once in five years.
"I also would like to welcome the Prime Minister to Kelantan. His presence today proved his concern to the people of Kelantan," he said during his speech at the Madani Hari Raya open house here tonight.
Mohd Nassuruddin also thanked the Prime Minister for treating Kelantan the same as other states.
