BUTTERWORTH: A man died after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a lorry at Km13.9 of the Butterworth-Kulim Expressway (BKE) on Saturday afternoon.

Seberang Prai Tengah District police chief Assistant Commissioner Helmi Aris said police received a report on the accident at 12.20pm.

The 19-year-old victim was riding his motorcycle from Kulim, Kedah towards Seberang Jaya before colliding with a lorry coming from the opposite lane.

"After the collision, the victim's motorcycle skidded off to the left side of the road. The victim, who suffered severe injuries to the hands and legs, was rushed to Seberang Jaya Hospital, but was pronounced dead while receiving treatment," he said in a statement yesterday.
