DBKL shuts down dirty diner in the city [NSTTV]

KUALA LUMPUR: A dirty restaurant was ordered to close by the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) after inspecting the premises.

In a Facebook post, DBKL said the inspection was part of a wider operation involving checks on eateries in the city.

In total, 69 premises in Mid Valley Megamall, Jalan Hujan Hemas, Jalan Hujan Rahmat, Jalan Metro Pudu, Lalaport Bukit Bintang and Sunway Putra Mall.

"One eatery was ordered to close under Section (11) of the Food Act (for unsanitary conditions)."

The operation also saw DBKL issue 69 compounds under DBKL's by-laws and the Local Government Act for various cleanliness and hygiene offences.

DBKL said it would continue to inspect eateries to ensure restaurant operators comply with regulations.
