KUALA LUMPUR: A man, clad in his graduation robe, was lambasted by netizens on social media for not hitting the right notes during his performance at a convocation ceremony recently.

Originally shared on X (previously Twitter) by @TohPuanNetwork, the video captured the individual singing an English song, drawing considerable attention for what some described as an "awful" performance. The video has amassed over 23,000 views on the platform.

"Sorry to say, but please stop singing, your voice is not that good. Stop being delusional and post it on social media just to get backlash," @TohPuanNetwork said in the caption.

A user, @riena_zasly said that such a performance was not suitable for a formal ceremony which should adhere to a certain standard of conduct or protocol.

"I felt sorry for the audiences," commented user @IamRaffffffff.
