PETALING JAYA: PKR is ready to contest against Pas in the upcoming 14th general election, said its president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
“If they want to contest, they may proceed, what can we do if they want to contest?
“If the mission is to put down the kleptocratic government, we think that it is the only rational way between both parties,” she said at the Pakatan Harapan presidential council meeting at PPBM headquarters here today.
She said this following Pas’ decision to field candidates in all seats contested by PKR in the coming election.
When asked if PKR is ready if Pas’ Syura Council decide to sever all ties, the Permatang Pauh MP said they will wait for the decision from the council.
Earlier this evening during Pas’ 63rd Muktamar, its delegates approved the motion to sever ties with PKR.
However, the final decision is subjected to the approval of the Syura Council, Pas highest decision-making body.
Meanwhile, at the Pakatan Harapan meeting, Dr Wan Azizah revealed the logo of the coalition, which will be submitted to the Registrar of Societies (RoS) soon.
The decision on the design was made based on the consensus of all.
