KUCHING: Sarawak DAP will decide its next course of action after the Election Commission make an official announcement on the Pujut by-election on Friday.
Its Chairman Chong Chieng Jen said the party was ready to face the by-election, however, on the candidacy, the party will decide later.
"We are ready but any decisions will be made after the EC announcement," he said at the State Legislative Assembly here.
Chong said the party was not aware that Dr Ting Tiong Choon had decided to apply to renounce his Australian citizenship in 2015.
The Kota Sentosa assemblyman also suggested that Dr Ting had returned to serve the people and not just for the sake of contesting in the election last year.
