Poster showing Pakatan Harapan's shadow cabinet, Wan Azizah as PM making rounds on social media

SHAH ALAM: A poster featuring Pakatan Harapan's shadow cabinet has been making its round in the social media today, with suggestion that PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail be made prime minister.

In the poster, DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng was named the deputy prime minister instead of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin who previously held the deputy prime minister post when he was with Barisan Nasional, under Datuk Seri Najib Razak's administration.

Based on the poster, Muhyiddin will be holding the education minister portfolio.

PKR strategic communications director Fahmi Fadzil meanwhile has denied that the poster was issued by the Pakatan Harapan pact.

"This is a propaganda by PKR's and Pakatan Harapan's enemies. If it is true, we would not have left it on the staircase. Instead, we would have started announcing it to everyone.

"Regardless, thank you to those who took the extra effort which will make the public think that Pakatan Harapan is ready to take over Putrajaya," he told reporters when met at PKR National Congress held at Dewan Raja Muda Musa here today.

Among others, the poster also featured PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar as the Women, Family and Community Development Minister, PPBM deputy president Mukhriz Mahathir as the International Trade minister and Parit Buntar Member of Parliament Datuk Dr Mujahid Yusof Rawa as the Defence Minister.

Two prominent personalities in PKR however were not included in the shadow cabinet line-up; PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali and PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli.

Earlier today, PKR members mutually agreed to name it's jailed opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as the prime minister candidate for the opposition pact.

Anwar is currently serving a five-year sentence for sodomising his former aide and is due for release in 2020.

The country’s laws prevent him from contesting in an election or holding a political position for five years after his release.

Due to that, PKR members suggested for Wan Azizah to take up the premiership temporarily until Anwar is eligible to be the prime minister.
