Three Malay reps in Pakatan Harapan's top posts mere 'wayang': Shahrizat

GELANG PATAH: In a desperate effort to draw the Malay votes, Pakatan Harapan has put up a show by appointing three Malay representatives to hold the highest posts in the coalition.

Wanita Umno chief Tan Sri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil today said the appointments were merely part of the opposition's move to attract voters, particularly the Malays.

"If we look beyond their politics of lies, the one who is the de facto leader is Lim Kit Siang (DAP adviser), but he is hiding behind those appointed to the top posts.

"This is done because they are thirsting for the Malay votes and this is also why they are putting up this 'wayang' (show) of placing Malay leaders when in actual fact the ones that is making the decision is the DAP,"

Sharizat urged the people to be careful on the matter if they wanted to choose the opposition.

She said this after opening the Gelang Patah Wanita Umno divisional delegates meeting at Dewan MBJBT here today.

The Pakatan Harapan Presidential Council meeting on July 13 announced Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as its de facto leader, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad as chairman and PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail as the pact's president.
