GEORGE TOWN: Pakatan Harapan announced its Penang's leadership line-up today.
DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng has been appointed as its state chairman while Datuk Mansur Othman (PKR), Chow Kon Yeow (DAP), Datuk Mujahid Yusuf (Parti Amanah Negara) and Marzuki Yahya (Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia) had been appointed deputy chairmen.
"This is the first Pakatan Harapan state government in the country with the inclusion of PPBM.
"We knew them and have been friends with them when they were on the other side... but today, they are with us, side-by-side to fight Umno and Barisan Nasional," he said.
A state-level Pakatan Harapan convention, he said will be held on Sept 22 at Seberang Perai Arena, Perai.
Meanwhile, Wong Hon Wai (DAP) has been named the secretary of the committee, Jadeep Singh Deo (DAP) the treasurer and Dr Afif Bahardin (PKR) as the information chief.
Chow will also hold the post of manifesto committee chairman, Datuk Mustafa Kamal (PKR) as the election machinery director, Afif as Youth wing chief and Lim Siew Khim (DAP) as Women's wing chief.
